Unpacking Porcelain Veneers

Posted .

Are the front of your teeth troubled with some sort of damage or abnormality? How about fixing the face of your teeth with porcelain veneers? Veneers are attractive, thin covers for your front teeth made of a tough ceramic material. They are very durable and hide any unsightly issues.

A healthy-looking smile adds to your confidence and how others perceive you. So, anything that valuable should be considered a top priority to acquire. If you have issues with your front teeth, porcelain veneers may just the thing for you. Veneers are a natural-looking option that flawlessly work with your adult teeth to hide any damage or imperfection. They are nearly indistinguishable to others. And when properly cared for, these veneers will last for many decades.

How it Works:

The initial operation begins by preparing your teeth for porcelain veneers by removing of a small amount of the surface enamel by grinding down the target teeth by one millimeter. After that, a mold is made of your teeth and sent to a dental laboratory in order to customize your veneers specifically for your mouth. Since it takes some time to make the mold, temporary covers will be placed on your teeth to protect them in the interim. When the mold is done, the dentist will cement the custom-made covers to your teeth with a bond-like agent.
